Room to Read, Saturday 30th July, 12 noon - 12.30 pm

Do you love reading?  If so, we want to read with you!

Bring a book you love and want to share aloud and join in with a unique reading aloud event that takes place in public spaces around Cardiff.  Everyone welcome!

By popular demand Room to Read returns to The Hayes in Cardiff city centre.  Meet by the statue of John Batchelor (the 'Friend of Freedom') outside St David's Hall and near the giant tv screen just before midday.  At 12 noon everyone begins reading OUT LOUD and AT THE SAME TIME for as long or as briefly as they want until 12.30, contrasting with the fast changing images on the tv screen.

Stand still and read aloud - that's all it takes to play your part in creating a unique visual and aural happening in a busy shopping area.

If you haven't been able to make it before, now's a chance to take part and find out why people who've already done it want another go!

All you need is a love of reading, one of your favourite books (literature, essays, science...) and a willingness to make it ALIVE AND ALOUD.

Looking forward to seeing you there - Saturday, 30th July, 12 - 12.30
