Hi I am working on a community arts project at the moment and was thinking of using one of the self book publication websites such as blurb

http://www.blurb.com/uk/?ce=google_eu_brand_blurb&gclid=CNS80J-...

or macs iphotos book creation tools

http://www.apple.com/ilife/print-products.html#photo-books

I want to create a small print run of about 50 and wanted to get everyone involved to sign them as memory of the activity.

Has any one any hints or tips ?

If I have to choose between them, I will go for Blurb as a lot of recognised artists are using it because of is quality.

I had in my hands a couple of books printed in Blurb and the best results are the soft covers if you are not filling up the maximum pages recommended.

Also if you are going to add pictures, to get the best results out of the final print is to work with this colour profile set up on photoshop or other picture editor software.  These is the links of how to set up and use the colour profile on photoshop  link

Obviously, you need to work with a calibrated screen to match the colours with the screen and the final print.

I hope this info helps.

P.S. the other option it is to create an ebook for Kinddle, Iphone, Ipads, etc... I can assist you in this area too as I am self publishing myself with one of my artistic projects.
