I woke up this morning with that feeling in my tummy. No it wasn’t the start of me getting ill! It was excitement!! It was the start of that adrenaline rush that I look forward to on the opening night of any performance. Tonight is the opening night of National Theatre Wales' The Soul Exchange!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I couldn’t be more excited. I am playing lovable busybody and long time Loudoun flats resident Vera. And what a fun character she is!

This is me in my Vera get up! Its funny how when you put on a head scarf, mac and roam the streets of Bute town with a shopping trolley you suddenly become old. I found myself during yesterdays dress run moaning about my back, feet and really just wanting a good ole cup of tea and a few rich tea biscuits. Now if that’s not getting into character then i don’t know what is!

I just want to say to everybody involved in the project what a pleasure it has been to work with them all and i wish them all the best for the performances tonight and tomorrow and their future careers!
