Aled                Not planting anything. Looking after something.

Aled                This. A 'clematis'.

Milly               What's a 'clematis?'

Aled                Comes out in April. Blooms into it's fullest colour. I think it's my favourite.

Milly               Will it come out soon?

Aled                Been waiting for it to blossom for ages.

Milly               Can I have a go?

Aled                It's not ready.

Milly               Why?

Aled                The ground's not ready.

Milly               How come the ground's not ready?

Aled                Just isn't. It's, well - it's dry. We haven't had a lot of rain. And it's been really                  cold. It won't set in the ground properly.

Milly               I could try...

Aled                I've tried all morning it's no good. Don't want to ruin it.

Milly               What does it need?

Aled                Needs to rain.

Milly               We could put water on it.

Aled                It would help a little bit but I really need it to rain. Makes me angry.

                        Normally good at fixing things, you know.
