Theatrical Hand Gun Workshop with rc-annie

BECTU and NTW are organising a days workshop with rc-annie (www.rc-annie.com) in Cardiff on March 20th.

The course will cover:

- Identifying hand guns.
- Dangers and Misconceptions about blank firing guns.
- Playing the part: how to hold, carry and fire a handgun.
- Working with Blank firing Guns and Replicas in Theatre
- Working with Blank firing Guns and Replicas on Set
- Looking at characters and scenarios. Room, clearing, hostage situations and disarming a weapon.

- Blood FX and their application

This course has been done with the RSC, The SMA and The Federation of Scottish Theatres and is really excellent.

Attendance at this course will go along way to establishing competence when handling such items and will help in reassuring local authorities that you can handle such equipment safely.

The price has still to be established but is likely to be around £50, but this is subject to confirmation.

If you are interested please get in contact davidevans@nationaltheatrewales.org.

Very important, if you are a member of BECTU you will get a considerable discount.
