Velvet Ensemble does 'Never, Fear, Love?' as part of WMC's Incubator Project - A Note from V

On Monday this week, we started our new writing process 'Never, Fear, Love?' When devising this process Bethan Marlow and I thought it would be an amazing experience to challenge ourselves, the director and other actors to identify things we have never done, love doing and fear doing professionally, stick them all in a hat and randomly pick one thing per day and have at it! So when Monday finally came around I have to say that I started to question whether this was a good idea or not. Well, it's Wednesday, I'm still alive and what's more........I'm having a ball. Working with a new methodology or process of working, theme and 4 new characters each day is daunting, challenging, exciting and incredibly rewarding. I feel as though I am learning so much - from everyone involved. We have an amazing creative team on board - Bethan Marlow - writing, Sarah Bickerton - directing and actors Rhian Blythe, Charlotte Gray and Owain Rhys Davies. So far we have worked with Nancy Mekler techniques, Meisner and Physical Theatre.......a whirlwind in 3 days. What's next........?
