I popped into visit the rehearsals for Love Steals Us from Loneliness today, and was lucky to find playwright Gary Owen was visiting the cast and working with Director John McGrath. I took a few photos, and managed to steal a few minutes of his time for him to say a few things about the play, and about Bridgend, where it's set. I also managed to capture a few photos of Gary, John and the cast reading through some scenes in the play.
Congrats are due not only for the script (which is great!), but Gary has also recently become a dad - today was his son's second month old birthday! If you'd like to find out more about what he's up to, check out Gary's Tumblr Blog.
@NTWtweets#NTWStorm another fantastic performance telling the events of racial tension and the riots in June 1919 Cardiff, on the Hayes outside the Tabernacl Church and surrounding area. A fascinating combination of text, period photographs and maps. Well researched & performed. pic.twitter.com/wQnb5bZ4hI
