Job Opportunities with NoFit State Circus

Following a successful application to the Heritage Lottery Fund, NoFit State are now recruiting an 'Assistant Project Manager/Volunteer Coordinator' and a 'Project Archivist' to work on an exciting new archive project.

With support from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) NoFit State, the UK’s leading contemporary circus company, is launching a new archive project of its 30 year history. In that time hundreds of thousands of people have engaged with the company as performers, participants, and audience members. We want to discover and document their stories, collect and rediscover original materials and photos and archive the material for future generations. 

To deliver this project we are looking to recruit two new temporary part time positions. Both roles will run for 12 months (Jan - Dec 2015) the equivalent of 2 days a week. A flexible approach to work is desired with flexi hours (occasional evenings and weekends) to be discussed with successful candidates. 


Role 1 - Assistant project manager/volunteer coordinator


This role will support the Project Manager (Ali Williams - founder and Creative Director of NoFit State) to manage the project. They will also recruit and manage community volunteers and ensure they deliver to the aims of the project as funded by Heritage Lottery Fund and be involved in the monitoring and evaluation of the project.

Pay scale £24,000 pro rata 

Role 2 - Project Archivist


This role will manage the collection of materials, stories and oral histories, and be responsible for preservation and interpretation of the physical and digital archive created by the process. They will ensure that the Archive created is delivers to the aims of the project as funded by Heritage Lottery Fund and assist with the monitoring and evaluation of the project.

Pay scale £24,000 pro rata
