Information - Wales' two national theatre companies - National Theatre Wales and Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru - team up for the very first time, with one of the country's leading artists, Marc Rees, and broadcaster S4C to create a visual and storytelling feast. Performed in English, Welsh and Spanish, {150} will bring to life key moments in the story of the 150 Welsh men, women and children who settled in Patagonia in 1865, and the lives of their descendants today. This multi-platform production, combining live performance in Wales with a specially commissioned film from Patagonia, will be staged in the Royal Opera House stores near Aberdare - a vast building not normally open to the public, close to the homes of many of the original settlers.
The Role - The CSM will need to coordinate the several large groups that are involved in the production – including groups of children, dancers and a professional cast. They will also need to control several different areas during the production. Experience in company management is essential and at least 2 years experience working in professional theatre. It is desirable that the CSM is a Welsh Speaker, but not essential.
Key Tasks -
• Coordinate the rehearsal schedule between the different groups
• Assist and work alongside the rest of the SM team in rehearsals
• Coordinate the crew that will be essential in the running of the show
• Manage appropriate budgets and petty cash, including reconciliation
• Ensuring all show paper work is clear and can be followed
• Liaising between the creative and production teams and keeping the Producers informed of significant details.
• Liasing with teams that work in English and Welsh Language
• Contributing to Risk Assessments where appropriate
• Managing Production and Stage management team hours and completing weekly times sheets.
Fee - £550 per week. Relocation or commuting will be paid where eligible.
Applying - Please apply with a CV and a covering letter stating why you would like the job and how your experience would enable you to do the job to a high standard. Send applications to Fiona Curtis fionacurtis@nationaltheatrewales.org by 12noon on 18th May. Interviews will take place in Cardiff on 22nd May – please state on application if you cannot attend on that day.

Gwybodaeth - Bydd dau gwmni theatr cenedlaethol Cymru – Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru a National Theatre Wales – yn dod at ei gilydd am y tro cyntaf erioed, gydag un o brif artistiaid y wlad, Marc Rees, a’r darlledwr S4C i greu gwledd weledol wrth adrodd stori.
Wedi’i pherfformio yn Saesneg, Cymraeg a Sbaeneg, bydd (150) yn dod â chyfnodau allweddol yn fyw yn stori’r 150 o ddynion, menywod a phlant o Gymru aeth i fyw i Batagonia yn 1865, ac ym mywydau’u disgynyddion heddiw.
Bydd y cynhyrchiad aml-blatfform hwn, fydd yn cyfuno perfformiadau byw yng Nghymru a ffilm a gomisiynir yn arbennig o Batagonia, yn cael ei lwyfannu yn Storfa’r Tŷ Opera Cenedlaethol ger Aberdâr – adeilad eang nad yw fel arfer yn agored i’r cyhoedd, yn agos at gartrefi llawer o’r mudwyr gwreiddiol.
Y Rôl – Bydd angen i’r CSM i gydlynu nifer o grwpiau mawr sy’n ymwneud â’r cynhyrchiad – gan gynnwys grwpiau o blant, dawnswyr a chast proffesiynol. Bydd angen iddynt hefyd i reoli nifer o ardaloedd gwahanol yn ystod y cynhyrchiad. Mae profiad o reoli cwmni ac o leiaf 2 flynedd o weithio yn y theatr broffesiynol yn hanfodol. Mae’n ddymunol bod y Rheolwr Llwyfan Cwmni yn siarad Cymraeg, ond nid yw’n hanfodol.
