Way back in Nov last year we launched a new programme of talks and networking opportunities called 'Huddles'. They have been designed to support the business and administrative sides of being a freelance artist.

So far we've had talks on all sorts, from how to find the right company structure, to personal tax and finance, fundraising, embracing digital and how to sell your work to venues, audience and press (these will soon be appearing on our website as an archive so watch this space).

We've been on the road with each one - starting at Chapter arts Centre, we then wiggled our way up to Aberystwyth and Bangor.

For our final session, we'll be in Swansea with Volcano where we'll be talking about managing budgets & financial reports and 'approaches to documentation and evaluation' presented by two independent producers based in Wales - Mike Salmon and Ruth Lloyd. They'll will be illustrating the key points by using their own brilliant projects as examples.

We'll also have a talk from Paul Davies, Artistic Director or Volcano Theatre, who will be telling us more about their work and opportunities for artists at the company, including their Yr Odyn for emerging artists and new companies.

As well as it being an opportunity to pick up some new (or brush up on some old) skills, it's a really great way to increase your networks too. At the end of the talks you will be able to 1-2-1 chats with Mike and Ruth, Paul or members of the NTW Staff.
