So, dear readers, we are ushering in a new year, along with new developments on the TEAM front which are sure to delight and amaze you. First of all, we at NTW want to thank you for your support and collaboration over the past year. Without you TEAM members we wouldn’t have been able to create spectacular events like City of the Unexpected, or projects like I’ll Sing This Song. Full credit to you for your loyalty and enthusiasm, because you are the ones that make all this worthwhile.

With this in mind, we would love it if you could get behind our latest endeavours:

  • We are busy in Monkton in Pembrokeshire with The Sound Project - our TEAM Panelist and  West Wales Associate Di Ford is gathering stories from the community about their local heroes over copious cups of tea and cake. It’s a tough job but somebody’s gotta do it.

  • TEAM Education is on the hunt for an Assistant Director who will help John Norton in developing something amazing with the students at Ocean Park Academy in Splott. This is a project funded by Arts Council of Wales, drawing on the Creative Learning through the Arts principles, and led by the vision and imagination of the students. We’re excited to see where this journey will take us!

  • If that wasn’t enough for you, we have launched a new app as part of our digital resources to accompany the I’ll Sing This Song choir project. Now you will be able to learn the lyrics to the song, specially written for the show Before I Leave by the Manic Street Preachers, as well as watch the beautiful documentary featuring choristers living with dementia and Alzheimer’s in Barry, Brecon and Wrexham.

  • And finally (drumroll….) we have a brand new TEAM Panel for 2017! These individuals are our ambassadors. They play a crucial role in how National Theatre Wales operates, contributing with their talent and insight to the vision of the company, representing communities across Wales, and strengthening our scope and ambition. Our line up includes:

Connor Allen

Jeremy Linnell

Gavin Porter

Owain Roach

Ben Tinniswood

Tom Wentworth

Natasha Bigford

Diana Ford

Rachel Pedley-Miller

Rachel Rosen

Rhiannon White

Get in touch with our Panelists via Community - remember, they are here to represent you - or contact Rhoda via the TEAM group or  team@nationaltheatrewales.org if you have any ideas, requests or questions that you’d like to raise. We would love to hear from you!
