CASTING CALL- STUDENT PROJECT RADIO SERIES WITH ADDED LIVE PERFORMANCE PILOT

University of South Wales, Cardiff campus third year BA Scriptwriting students are holding a showcase as part of “Three Nights in May”. The showcases are on 8-10th May. This casting call is for a 5-part radio murder-mystery, recorded for the USW student Radio station, Dragon Radio.

The pilot episode will be performed as a live reading on 8th May as part of “Three Nights in May”.

Actors will also need to available afterwards for recording of the four remaining episodes (dates to be confirmed).

This is an Unpaid Project however those cast will be subject to free food/drink.

 

Open audition will be held on the 29th March.

“Smith & Fox” Pitch:

Cousin duo DCI Alice Smith and DS Ianto Fox are called to Solihull East Police station to close it down. Just as they think the job is done, a murder lands in their laps in the last week. Time is running out and evidence is going missing as the duo get ever closer to uncovering who the murderer is.

 

CAST LIST:

DCI Alice Smith- Female, late 30s, English, firm yet fair, Ianto’s older cousin

DS Ianto Fox- Male, late 30s, Welsh from the Bay area, slightly cocky, Alice’s younger cousin

 

DC Trish Delaney- Female, late 20s, Irish, does things by the book

Superintendent Michelle Jacks- Female, late 40s, English, snobbish

CSE Den Temple- Male, late 30s, English, ‘scatterbrains’

Daryl Terrace- Male, mid 30s, English, aggressive, Lisa’s younger brother

Lisa Kettering- Female, late 30s, English, posh, spoilt and a bit of a drama queen, Daryl’s older sister
