Women! Perform in Yap Yap Yap at Troublemakers' Festival!

An opportunity for women. The project takes place in Swansea as part of the Troublemakers' Festival in July.

Yap Yap Yap is a recreation and celebration of women's speeches throughout history. Helping us all understand what's been said before us, so we can stand on the shoulders of giants. Both hilariously irreverent and teary, Yap Yap Yap is like a historical Vagina Monologues for people who love cat memes. Written and directed by Deborah Coughlin, Yap Yap Yap is a Gaggle Production which originally debuted at London's ICA and has been performed at the Southbank as part of WOW Festival, with performers Jamie Rose Monk and Helen Keeley.

For this very special Troublemakers edition Yap Yap Yap will include speeches and performers from Wales.

We are looking for two women actors, performance artists or comedians to take part in a recreation of women’s speeches throughout history.

Daily rate: £80 per day (including expenses) for rehearsal on Thursday July 13th and performances on Friday July 14th, performance on Saturday 15th July.

Performance Dates and Times:

Friday July 14th 2:30 pm AND 7:30 pm (Rehearsals in the morning)

Saturday July 15th 2:30 pm

Auditions will take place next week (w/c 19 June) by Skype with Deborah Coughlin. You are asked to prepare an extract from a speech of your choice (up to 2 minutes long)

If you are interested, please send a short CV to caroline@volcanotheatre.co.uk by Monday 19th June 5pm
