Musical Theatre Network and Mercury Musical Developments have announced 15 BEAM pitching days around the UK to find ideas/new musicals in development for inclusion in our BEAM industry showcase (1st and 2nd March 2018 at Theatre Royal Stratford East), the first of these is happening in Cardiff on 30th September at Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, and we'd love Welsh writers to come along and pitch their ideas for new musicals to us.

All the information about pitching - including an expression of interest form to pitch - can be found on our BEAM website http://www.beamshowcase.com/  To pitch in Cardiff, expressions of interest are due by 15th September, or by 25th September for any of the later pitching days.

Anyone with a professional creative track record is eligible to pitch their idea for a new musical; you don’t have to have been involved in musical theatre previously, and we’re committed to diversifying both who is pitching and the content of work being developed. Around 60% of projects showcased in the first BEAM went on to receive development support/funding/productions, so it’s a really worthwhile development opportunity.
