Need help finishing a play? Come along to this playwriting course at Ty Newydd with Tim Price, Hamish Pirie and Catherine Paskell

Playwriting Course at Ty Newydd running from September 3rd to 7th

The Course

This course will explore the dramatic form for writing for theatre. Course participants are encouraged to bring along an idea or a skeleton of an unfinished play and, under the supervision of the course tutors, will explore different ways of unlocking their stories through formal choices and innovations in story-design. The course will look at the best work of contemporary playwrights and theatre makers, and identify how and why they have used formal devices to dramatize their stories. Through a series of taught, and workshop-led seminars the tutors will introduce participants to a series of dramatic tools that will equip writers with a new degree of understanding of the dramatic craft.

In partnership with Dirty Protest, who will be present throughout the week.
