Hello Creatives,

I'm organizing an interactive performance as part of the International Performance Festival Cardiff 12/13th June in collaboration with the super Alma Alter theatre laboratory from Bulgaria.

We're looking for a small group of actors/performers/collaborators who are interested in interactive theatre to be involved in the project.

Here's a little taster: http://vimeo.com/pauljenx

If you are interested in being involved creatively please write a short paragraph outlining your experience and/or interest in interactive performance to pauljenx@me.com.

We're hoping to hold an informal meeting this Wednesday at Chapter at 8pm.

Thank you!

Paul

Hello National Theatre Wales Community!

Dry Mouth Theatre has just finished casting for its debut production of Arthur Miller's American classic Death of a Salesman taking place at The Gate Arts Centre on the 24th, 25th and 26th of July!

We're a brand new theatre group made up entirely of young people living around South Wales who are passionate about theatre (whether it be acting/directing/costume design etc) and we'd love it if you could one little tiny thing for us!

All we're asking is for you to mosey on over to our page (linked below) and hit the 'Like' button and share our page with your friends/family/creative types, it's that easy!

We'll be updating our page with regular vlogs and video diaries from the team as well as all the latest info on the show itself.
So what are you waiting for, take a look at our cast and previous vlogs! - https://www.facebook.com/drymouththeatre

P.S. We also have our twitter account up and running should you be so inclined - https://twitter.com/DryMouthTheatre

Thanks very much for your time and support!

Jack

Hello Lovely People!
I (relatively) recently moved back to Wales after an absence of many years working throughout the UK. In 2007 I set up a small theatre company in East Yorkshire, Human Compass. The aim of the company is to produce exciting work in traditional and non traditional spaces, which is intensely watchable, often uses a mixture of media and music to tell stories about what is means to be human.

I'm at a stage now where I'd love to re-establish the company in South Wales and would love to find other creatives to collaborate with on future projects.

If you'd be interested, or would like to find out more then please drop me a message on here or email - humancompasstheatre@yahoo.co.uk or visit the website www.humancompasstheatre.co.uk

Can't wait to hear from you!

James

Garfan Yr Odyn - a self-organizing community of Wales-based artists,  is hosting an Open studio event at Volcano theatre next Thursday between 2-4pm on the 1st of May,

This will be an opportunity to step in to our week of work shopping and experience some of the stuff we have been developing in bite size chunks.

To find out more about the event and the artists involved please visit the link below.

With a fringe energy the work shown will be mostly work in progress and ranges from installation art, storytelling, new writing to performance. Free on the door although space may be limited - contact Volcano if you would like to reserve a ticket. There will also be performances on the Friday and Saturday.

Hey guys I’m part of a company called Bard Busters, which specialises in running Shakespeare workshops for children.  At the moment we’re trying to develop a new range of workshops for primary education. On Sunday 4th of May we are running an R&D day, at the Dolman Theatre, in Newport, for an adaptation we’ve done of ‘Twelfth Night.’

The session on Sunday will run from 11-5, unfortunately it’s not payed, but is a good opportunity for us to meet you and visa versa. The main objective of ‘Bard Busters’ it to make Shakespeare, and other challenging texts, fun and accessible to children, of all ages, through alternative teaching methods, and performance.
On the day we’ll be working on our most recent draft, of ‘Twelfth Night’ which has cast of 3, so as you can imagine is it a bit bonkers, but a lot of fun. Basically we’re trying to find a way to tell this story to the kids, which takes them on an adventure and invites them to become a part of the story. What we’re aiming for on Sunday is to get some of it up on it’s feet, pick apart, find the problems with the script and to just play for a bit so we can see what does and doesn’t work.
We’re always looking for new people to come on board and to work with so If your interested either in what we’re doing or in working with us please feel free to come along. All people and opinions are welcome regardless of age or experience. However we would ask that you drop as an email just to let us know if you are:

bardbusters1@gmail.com
Hope everyone is well, and thank you very much for your time.
All the Best,
Gareth Tempest.

I’m looking to put together a group of young actors (playing range: 15-22) to be part of a music video shoot on the 3rd & 4th May around the Newport/Cardiff area.  Age is the only specifications; anyone with that playing range can apply.
