If anybody is about London over the next month, I'll be performing with The Flying Roast Goose at The Blue Elephant Theatre in Camberwell. It's a piece of puppetry with movement direction from Robin Guiver of Warhorse and Oli Smart of The Little Angel Puppet Company. It'd be great to see you all there!

Performances:3 - 21 June at 8pm
£12 full price
£10 concession
£9 Southwark Residents

Special discount at £8.50 for preview tickets on 3 and 4 June

'A moving story about food, survival, hope and sacrifice told through the eyes of a Cantonese chef and her pet goose set in war-torn Hong Kong during the Japanese occupation. Using physical theatre, puppetry and object manipulation, this original piece tells the dark history of Hong Kong with playfulness and kitchen utensils!'

Hello Actors,

I'm organizing an interactive performance as part of the International Performance Festival Cardiff 12/13th June in collaboration with the super Alma Alter theatre laboratory from Bulgaria.

We're looking for a small group of actors/performers/collaborators who are interested in interactive theatre to be involved in the project.

Here's a little taster: http://vimeo.com/89501555

If you are interested in being involved creatively please write a short paragraph outlining your experience and/or interest in interactive performance to pauljenx@me.com.

We're hoping to hold an informal meeting this Wednesday at Chapter at 8pm.

Thank you!

Paul

Hi Actors' Group,

NTW is looking for a non-professional, ensemble cast to take part in their next production Mametz. Expenses will be covered and it is a great opportunity to be part of such an epic production. Matthew Dunster is one of my favourite directors and so the opportunity to work with him is very exciting. Here are the details: http://community.nationaltheatrewales.org/profiles/blogs/mametz-ens...

Bilingual Welsh Voice Over Actors wanted

Hi we are audio guide producers based in North wales.I'm looking to build up a pool of first language bilingual welsh actors who are able to voice as "characters" and narrators for future productions. I need people that either have their own voice over recording equipment and decent mics who can produce in the required format to send to us via dropbox etc, or who live near to our North Wales offices outside Ruthin so that we can record you.

"Character" pieces are usually around 1-2 minutes per character. Although this is usually paid work (depending on client) it is low budget so Im afraid you wont be able to retire but it something to add to your CV!

We need both North Welsh and South Welsh voices. At the moment I have several female voices so are mainly looking for male, but you can always send me a sample anyway.

If you are interested in possible future work please send me a short sample of work you have recorded yourself so that I can hear the quality of your equipment, or point me to your website and tell me a little about yourself and where your Welsh Voice is from!

thank you

Julie

Hey guys I’m part of a company called Bard Busters, which specialises in running Shakespeare workshops for children.  At the moment we’re trying to develop a new range of workshops for primary education. On Sunday 4th of May we are running an R&D day, at the Dolman Theatre, in Newport, for an adaptation we’ve done of ‘Twelfth Night.’

The session on Sunday will run from 11-5, unfortunately it’s not payed, but is a good opportunity for us to meet you and visa versa. The main objective of ‘Bard Busters’ it to make Shakespeare, and other challenging texts, fun and accessible to children, of all ages, through alternative teaching methods, and performance.
On the day we’ll be working on our most recent draft, of ‘Twelfth Night’ which has cast of 3, so as you can imagine is it a bit bonkers, but a lot of fun. Basically we’re trying to find a way to tell this story to the kids, which takes them on an adventure and invites them to become a part of the story. What we’re aiming for on Sunday is to get some of it up on it’s feet, pick apart, find the problems with the script and to just play for a bit so we can see what does and doesn’t work.
We’re always looking for new people to come on board and to work with so If your interested either in what we’re doing or in working with us please feel free to come along. All people and opinions are welcome regardless of age or experience. However we would ask that you drop as an email just to let us know if you are:

bardbusters1@gmail.com
Hope everyone is well, and thank you very much for your time.
All the Best,
Gareth Tempest.
