Our Manifesto

To act as a catalyst in creating new networks to stimulate debate across arts, education and beyond

To provide a forum to discuss education in a language that encourages fresh and innovative ideas

To develop leaders and advocates from a range of backgrounds, working throughout the whole education system

To focus on creating long-term solutions to the problems of the formal education system

To encourage cross-curricular dialogue to promote the benefits of the arts at all stages of the educational experience

Dear all, we have now fixed a date for our first regional Rethinking Education meeting, which will be held in West Wales on 15th of September, time and date to be confirmed, though it is most likely to be at approximately 5pm.  Please let me know if you are interested in joining us - it would be great to see you there!

So I was listening to my old friend Satish Kumar the other day talking about education. It was similar to this TED talk (link below). At least he has a point of view I used to art edit his Resurgence magazine briefly years ago it is now a joint publication with the Ecologist, and he set up The Little School so his experience is both long and "hands on " along with all his other achievements.

freedom through creativity can actually have a positive effect on performance purely because the candidate is naturally more expressive as a result of the creatively free approach they've been encouraged to adopt through their learning.

Yes - I agree very much. Can we have a Gogledd meeting, please? I'm happy to host / help arrange.
