Hi Team,

Thought this might be of interest to some of you.

Be Aware Productions are seeking a hands on promoter/marketing person for their forth coming production ‘Enough is Enough’. This role will involve travelling to each venue and exploring the surrounding town, finding the best places to promote the piece, building an audience from the surrounding community and consulting with some of our local contacts.

We are looking for someone enthusiastic who loves to talk to people. We would expect you to contact the local councils, visit pubs, clubs, cafés and youth centres in order to bring the widest possible audience to each performance. You will also need to put up posters, distribute flyers and generally sell the show to everyone you meet on your journey. We think this will be a lot of fun, but it will also be hard work.

There is a weekly fee of £400 and the role will last 6 weeks starting from the the beginning of January. We would expect you to have your own car but we will cover your petrol and per diems while you are on the road.

Please contact our Production Manager Glesni Price-Jones with a short message about how you think you could fulfil this role, any past experience and a CV if you have one.

Mental Health Arts Festival In Wales

The theme of this year’s festival is ‘Walls:Muriau’. Out of the creative minds of those with and without lived experience of mental ill health, the festival will explore the walls put up and the barriers, both physical and attitudinal, that exist for those affected by mental illness.

In an arts and mental health context, walls can take on many meanings. It could be the walls of the mind, the walls of a gallery, theatre or cinema screen, a hospital, the box you feel you might fit in with a diagnosis, or the walls you need to overcome due to stigma….the walls you’ve broken through in recovery….and many more.

The festival is organised by : Disability Arts Cymru, Ynys Mon a Gwynedd Mind and Making Minds

The Funders of the Festival are: Arts Council of Wales, Welsh Government, National Lottery, Voluntary Arts Wales (VAW), Royal college of Psychiatry, National Centre for Mental Health, Mental Health Research Centre,

Performances at the Weston Studio, WMC, Cardiff Bay

NOVEMBER 21st – 24th at the Wales Millennium Centre

The Weston Studio is wheelchair accessible and speech to text will be available at all performances

TEAM Panel 2017 - Call for Applications

Could you be the next member of National Theatre Wales’s TEAM Panel?

The TEAM Panel feed into the overall development of National Theatre Wales, advising on issues such as recruitment, programming, marketing and training. Building on our achievements over the past couple of years, the Panel places TEAM firmly at the centre of the organisation.

Panel members are our representatives at events and performances, and attend meetings and give presentations on our behalf. They regularly feed back to National Theatre Wales staff and board. Meeting as a group approximately three to four times a year, we are always looking for people with a diverse range of skills, knowledge, views, experience and backgrounds.

We want dynamic individuals who are passionate about the arts and who want to inspire others to take part. You may already have some experience of leading, or at least the potential - you are not afraid to pitch in, take the reins and show others the way. Above all, you have a vocation for engagement, promote social justice, and believe in the civic role of arts organisations.

Panel members are NTW’s eyes and ears across the country. They bring ideas from their neighbourhoods and inform our programme. They are proactive cultural agents for change, driving forward creative projects and growing arts initiatives in their communities.
If you want to help shape the future of National Theatre Wales and you can give your time to developing the arts in your locality and beyond, this is an excellent opportunity to show up, speak up and make things happen.

Tell us in your applications:

1) Why would you like to be on TEAM Panel

2) What your connection is to TEAM/ National Theatre Wales

3) How you would promote TEAM in your area

4) In what ways TEAM can contribute to NTW over the next year
