GROW WILD UK!

Are you 12-25 and creative?

Looking for an opportunity to showcase your talents?

We’re looking for talented and imaginative young people aged 12 - 25 to raise awareness about the importance of UK native wild flowers and plants by using visual art, music, poetry, dance, theatre… whatever it is that you’re good at!

Don’t worry if you’re thinking that you’re too busy with studying and exams. All you need to do at the moment is to come up with an idea, then make a short 2 minute film (on your smartphone is easiest) telling us what you will do and how you will spend £500.

Send this to us by Friday 26th May.

If selected, you will then have the summer months to complete your creative project ready for a fabulous takeover day in Newport on Sat 9th September.

Former NTW Artist in residence Kyle Legal is writing and directing a show on at the Wales Millennium Centre on 2nd and 3rd June.

The Butetown Rats have been planning the takeover of Cardiff Bay for generations and now it is time to unveil their plans.

A small tail about a young Rat who is about to go through her family's traditional initiation. Her right of passage is to steal something from the humans, that she can not eat, what ever she finds will become her name. Born into a world of set traditions she struggles with her identity.

On her adventure she encounters other Rats that show her what freedom is all about.

A black comedy incorporating masks, dance, hip-hop culture, rock and rhyme in a masquerade.

If you quote 'family' you can get a £10 ticket for £7, maximum of 4 tickets per booking. If you dont care about football then book the Sat afternoon or Sat evening show https://www.wmc.org.uk/Productions/2017-2018/other/rats/?view=Standard
