Hi, Jamie, is that a paying job or an "internship"?

It might be an idea for people in general (not aimed anywhere, Jamie) to mention T's and C's when advertising here. One forum has ads split with anyone wishing to advertise non-paid work needing to explain how and why it does not breach Arts Council/TUC guidelines on the NMW and internship rights. http://www.rightsforinterns.org.uk/

The South Wales Theatre Collective are looking for a lighting designer and stage manager for its upcoming production of Ariel Dorfman's 'Death and the Maiden' at Chapter Arts Centre in March. (22nd-26th)

Recent Welsh graduates and those wishing to further their experience especially welcome.

For more details please email Jamie on jamie@actorsworkshop.co.uk

Many thanks.

Hi technical group - i'm nw to this so not sure if i'm posting in the right place - my name's Tim. I'd like to voltunteer my support to productions and events that will benifit the community. I don't have any acting skills unfortunately, but I am a qualified electrician, have skills in construction & decorating and will be pleased to offer any back-satge / set building or general goffa support required. Can anyone tell me how best to start being involved with whatever's happening - thanx

Hear hear. Paul has been a passing ship for us at NTW, and a glorious one every time - we were just about to start working finally together. Unimaginable for those closest to him, to whom we send huge warm love and thoughts.

Hello all I would like to share some sad news,There is no easy way of saying this!on wednesday Paul Colley passed away. He started working in Theatre at the Sherman in the mid eighties and was their chief LX and lighting designer until moving to Manchester where he designed for the contact and library theatre. Paul returned to Wales a few years ago with his family. He will be sadly missed by those who knew him and the loss of his skill as a set and lighting designer not to mention his talent production management will also be felt.
