Open Space: What Are We Going To Do About Theatre and Performance in Cardiff?
Sat 5th November 2011
10am – 6pm in The Stwdio, Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff
If you’re planning on joining us for the event, here are a few things you might need to know. We think it’s going to be a great opportunity to promote exchange and stimulate new conversations.
We will begin at 10am in The Stiwdio which is outside of the main building and over to your right as you enter Chapter from the Market Road entrance.
If you’ve never been to Chapter before, here is a link to help you find it:

The event is free and you do not need to bring any materials with you. However, every discussion will have a proposer and a recorder, so you may be asked to jot down some notes about the conversation you are part of. Our aim is to disseminate all content from the discussions on this blog after the event, so it can be made widely available.
Open Space brings people together with the belief that the right people for the right conversation are already in the room. There are no speakers and no agenda. You make it for yourself. If a conversation doesn’t do it for you, then use ‘the law of two feet’ and move on to find a conversation that does.
If you would like to know more about its methodology, you can follow these links:

Lucid is a new venture that that exists to inspire and realise theatre that is clear-sighted, revelatory and original. One of our aims is to see what opportunities there are for artists to generate their work from a position of shared strength and resilience. In this event we hope to bring together those with passion and vision for the future of theatre in Cardiff to inspire dialogue about where it should go next.
We look forward to seeing you!
Best wishes,
Simon Harris (Lucid)

Well done for setting one up for Cardiff. Really important to have those open forums of discussion. Will you be uploading the minutes from the discussions online?
Hope its a fruitful and exciting discussion. Im sure it will be.
All the best

Hi Simon - is this an event that people can drop in to when they're available or is it best to be there for the whole day?
Hope the discussions generate some interesting ideas, it will be great to see them here on the community afterwards!
