'In the Coombe Four sisters hide their face'...'Be careful what you wish for'....
New Play in Development set in the past, it explores what happens to a family when food becomes scarce and the fight for survival to beat the system. It's a fairy tale exploring contemporary issues from our current political climate of austerity and the lack of money to put food on the table.
The play is in development written by Carmen Medway-Stephens, built upon and devised by the students of the drama dept. of Bridgend College.
We have undertook fascinating research approaching the FOOD BANK and big supermarket chains.

Thanks Guys, The students did brilliantly. Its a play in development so it may have another run in the future.
Hi can't wait to see it!
Hi Carmen,
Thanks for the invitation, but there is no chance that I can be at Bridgend College on the 8th of May. I do hope it goes well, though.
I've managed to catch some new writing at Theatr Clwyd and hope to see some more, but I can't get to all the events even here.
Best wishes,
Ieuan
Hi, Carmen! Would have loved to be there, but currently enjoying the sunshine in Byron Bay, Australia. Hope all goes well. Best wishes. Ray.
