11.00 – A Fiction Map of WalesJohn Lavin, Fiction Editor of Wales Arts Review will explain the online arts journal’s project to ‘map Wales in fiction’. Writers Jon GowerFrancesca Rhydderch and Joao Morais will read from their work and discuss the importance of place in literature.

12.15 – Beth Reekles
The Newport author of romantic fiction for young adults will talk about her rise to fame, balancing writing with a physics degree and her listing by Time magazine as one of the world’s most influential teenagers.

2.00 – George F. Peterken
Gwent WIldlife Trust President and renowned authority on meadows discusses his book on the subject, already described as a classic of British nature writing.

2.45 – Peter Finch
The popular poet and psycho-geographer discusses his latest book, Edging the Estuary, a perambulation around the River Severn

3.30 BREAK

4.00 – Dave Goulson
The writer and professor will discuss his work, including A Sting in the Tail, a fascinating study of bumblebees and former BBC Radio 4 Book of the Week and Guardian No.1 best selling paperback

4.45 – Angela V. John
The acclaimed biographer will discuss the extraordinary life of Margaret Haig Thomas, the woman who became the 2nd Viscountess Rhondda of Llanwern.
