Event Description

Aspiring Film makers!  Apply for our LAUNCHPAD film makers’ event on 28th March at Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff.  We welcome applications particularly from those of BAME backgrounds or who have projects with BAME subject matter.  The event offers expert mentoring on your career or film project and will provide great networking opportunities with film and TV professionals and execs.

N.B.  Applications for Writers & Directors Labs are on a first come first served basis provided you meet the criteria.  We have extended the deadline for submissions to 12pm Friday 20th March 2015 but get your application in as soon as possible to secure a place.  This is an unique opportunity for only £20!  Our Launchpad event at the Hay Festival last year, saw 50% of the projects on the Writers Lab getting funded for development or production.

The labs are open to writers and directors from all backgrounds, however we are prioritising writers and directors and/or stories from BAME communities so please state clearly if and how this applies to you or your project.

Submissions should be sent to the Talent Co-Ordinator: katherine@ffilmcymruwales.com  You will be notified of selection as soon as possible following your submission and at the latest by end of day Friday 20th .

As well as the Writer and Director labs, there is a whole day of useful and inspiring sessions for writers, directors and producers.  In addition we will be screening a selection of films and hosting a networking reception in the evening.

Please find information both here: http://www.ffilmcymruwales.com/index.php/en/news-and-events/378-bfi-net-work-wales-host-bame-focussed-launchpad-event  and below on speakers and sessions:
