Prototype Status is a contemporary dance company based in Switzerland – a company known to NDCWales’ Artistic Director Caroline Finn. Their piece, Lui & Artermis is interpreted by two dancers over the age of 65, and is the paradoxical journey of an elderly, younger-minded couple in their worn-out bodies, much older in body but not in mind than they could have been at the time of their first embrace.

The workshop will be taught by ex-soloists from the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz and Bayerisches Staatsballet in Munich, Artemis Sacantanis, 69 years old, and Peter Jolesch, 65 years old, dancing in the duet Lui & Artermis’ by Prototype Status.

They will be focusing the workshops on simple actions connected to our own experiences, trusting the body memory, which can express beyond narration. They will also explore exercises and improvisation games which have been used as tools to find the choreographic materiel of the duet.

Join us for a 90 minute workshop, followed by refreshments, and stay on to see the wonder Lui & Artemis, all for just £12.50.
