Hello all,

Here's a quick update of just a few of the productions coming up in the Weston Studio.

Once In A House On Fire by Monkeywood Theatre will be with us on 24 April.

In a rainy world of poverty, violence, packing up and moving on, Andy and her sisters escape through stories, games and dreams of a ‘happy family’. But with each new start ending faster than the last, their hopes are stubbed out along with their mum’s cigarettes. As Andy gets older and a new life beckons, she knows her escape will come at a cost.

Then on 25 April So & So Circus Theatre will perform Backgammon for Beginners.

November 1976. A military jet arrives in London and a bemused looking Iranian man steps on to the tarmac. He has smuggled in the last of his opium supply and brings with him a complicated past.

Fusing drama, breath-taking acrobatics, live music and puppetry, So & So Circus Theatre tell the true story of this extraordinary man.

A huge thank you to you and Louise from us all at Velvet Ensemble. We had an amazing experience in our Incubator and are so thrilled with the response and feedback we received from our piece. Next step - debrief and find funding! Vxx

Critics Circle Award winning company Independent Ballet Wales present a breathtaking version of one of Wales' best known stories.

Based on the bestselling novel by Richard Llewellyn - an Oscar winning film and an authentic BBC Wales television series - this outstanding new production features choreography from Creative Wales Award winner Darius James and some of the best young dancers in Europe. MacMillan Young Composer of the Year Thomas Hewitt Jones provides an atmospheric and stunning new commissioned score. And to cap a truly memorable collaborative experience - The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama have worked with the company to produce innovative and vivid sets and costumes. With remarkable classical dancers and expansive choreography this production is the most thrilling and entertaining dance event of the year.

Gareth. Thank you once again for the fantastic & creative we had this last week in Weston. The support that the Incubator project gives to developing performing arts in South Wales sends out such a positive message about WMC's commitment to it's surrounding artistic community.

Please pass on our thanks & respect to Ben and Scott who have such a great attitude to their work.
James & Bridie (Citrus Arts).
