Profile Information

What I do:
Author, Poet, Publisher, Storyteller & Lifestyle and Business Coach
A little more about me:
I love writing stories and poetry and experimenting with different things (word art is fantastic). I first performed spoken word poetry at Word4Word back in December 2011 and actually won (only because Frank Thomas forgot his words - thanks Frank :-) ) My life has not been the same since!
Location:
Pontypridd
Projects I’m working on:
Just published two Children's books 'Can We Walk to the Moon?' and 'Polly's Magic Bubbles and the Quest for Dizzelwood' through my own independent imprint Tomser Cat Books, and currently working on a third, 'How High Do Trees Grow'. I am currently going into primary schools storytelling and taking them through the whole writing process from initial drafting right through to final book cover design.

As well as a number of other children's books (still unpublished) I've written two fantasy novels, a Christian blog encountering Jesus afresh journeying through the Gospel of John, and hundreds of poems!

Hi Mark. Dirty Gifted & Welsh is in the Angel Hotel on Sunday 12 October, from 11am - late. You will be able to sign up for a Scratch Slot in advance, we are releasing the blog to do this soon x

Hi Mark - yes, I meant Dirty Gifted and Welsh... we have a Scratch Space open there for people to sign up to, who want to perform or have their written work performed, and I thought you meant you wanted to be part of that...? Of course you would be welcome to bring along your books too, to have on display somewhere in the space, I'm sure we could find a spot! I'd love to know how the Angel has changed since you were a teenager... we had our 6th form dance there and all the kids pulled the sinks from the walls, I know it's also changed since my teen years :) x

Hi Mark thanks for your message - were you asking about whether you could perform some of your children's stories in the Scratch Space? Of course! Keep an eye on the blog space - that's where you can sign up for a spot in the next couple of days... let me know if you gave any questions x

Hey Mark,
I don't know if I'll be able to get down tomorrow afternoon, if I can I will though! Best of luck! Do you have any more storytelling sessions in the local area coming up?

Hi Mark,

Sorry for such a late reply! I struggle to keep track of the activity on here as so many of the emails alerting me to them go into my spam!

Do you have an email address I can contact you on? Mine is harriet.g.hopkins@gmail.com

Slots are usually 15-25mins tops, and there isn't a theme as it is also a music night...

I look forward to receiving an email from you!

Thanks,

Harriet :)
