Event Description

On Saturday 31st May the film ‘A Mars Story’ will be shown at Clwb y Bont in Pontypridd. An animated film, featuring the voice of the late Dorien Thomas (Twin Town, Judas and the Gimp, Pobol y Cwm, etc) it is a grim, yet humorous take on corporate greed, set on Mars in the future.

The showing is promoted by Positively Ponty and will include a question and answer session between the two screenings of the film. Talking about the film will be Nic Thomas (writer and director), Gary Waghorn (composer and sound engineer), and Roger Plater (assistant director).

On show will be written and illustrated material to show how the film was constructed, including character designs, story-board and production books.

This is a great opportunity for people to have a preview of the film, and the process of making it, before it is put forward to festivals and competitions.

Starts 2:00 pm at Clwb y Bont (behind Boots on Taff Street, Pontypridd)
