Chris Bird-Jones is a glass artist and creative wales ambassador. Chris recently returned from being artist in residence at the University of Hawai'i where selected work was shown in her exhibition ohi, ho‘ahu, gather, casglu. 

'Buckets are for collecting things in..... '. 

Chris is fascinated by the potential of the mirror bucket form for collecting, visually, whatever you wish to put in it. The collected work currently exhibited in the Volcano Theatre Gallery is the result of a public ‘Call Out’ for ropes to hang her mirror buckets on. 

On Saturday 27 Feburary Chris Bird-Jones will be sharing her experiences in Hawai'i and the work conducted during her three month residency, including collaborations and  improvised performance. Discussing the impact of her Creative Wales Amabassdor Award and how her practice has developed during this time. 

The event is free to attend and there is no need to book.
