Gather outside Wales Millennium Centre on the 12th of September for a spectacular outdoor performance set to bring the Centre’s 10th anniversary programme to an impressive close in a breath-taking display of song, storytelling, music, dance, projection and pyrotechnics.
Alongside hundreds of participants from across Wales, the mythical enchantress Ceridwen will call up images from the story of the great bard Taliesin’s birth as new visions and words are seared onto the side of the Centre’s iconic building. Weaving together tradition and contemporary culture, the show is shaped by Welsh creatives who came together as part of the Lloyds Bank Awen Training Schools in Caernarfon, Castell y Bere and Newport – putting the work of the next generation of Welsh artists at the very heart of the finale celebrations.
Commissioned by the Centre and created by outdoor arts specialists Walk the Plank, Ar Waith Ar Daith is an epic, nation-wide journey of Welsh myth and magic, culminating in this sensational finale event in Cardiff Bay,
The performance is FREE and open to everyone. Come down to Cardiff Bay and join the Centre as they bring their 10th anniversary to a spectacular close.
