Event Description

AUGUST 012

CYRANO R&D II

We are embarking on our second stage of research for Cyrano, our latest exploration of a classical play (Cyrano de Bergerac) that we’ll produce in 2015/16.

Over the past 6 months, we have revisited Edmond Rostand classical text with writer Matt Hartley and set it in the Welsh Valleys within the rugby world of the 90’s. This has generated new spatial and sonic ideas that we want to try out.

Your feedback is an important part of our research so we’d like to invite you to come to our Open Rehearsals to get a peek into how we work as we workshop the text, the space and sound with professional artists, actors and, of course, The Cardiff Lions RFC.

We’d like to hear what you think through a number of ways via
