Event Description

Come and join us as we explore the very nature of India...in Splott.  We present a work-in-progress showing of ‘The Master-Madam’, a Sanskrit comedy translated by Will Johnson.  The theatre becomes our playground as we seek to discover the Indian community of Cardiff and just how their identity is expressed.  A talented creative team and a group of brilliant performers retell this classic farce of misidentity and misbehaviour.  We invite you to enjoy the performance in its early stages of development, and afterward we would love to hear your thoughts on the play and how you think we could carry it forwards in a Q&A session.  We would like to thank the wonderful staff and youth groups at Eastmoors Community Centre for their enthusiasm and contributions to our project, as well as Cardiff University for their invaluable assistance in getting 'The Master-Madam' up and running! In association with National Theatre Wales TEAM.

Showing Thurs 29th and Fri 30th March, 7.00pm.  Performance lasts approx. 50 mins with Q&A session straight after.
