Event Description

This May the Welsh electorate will cast their votes in the Welsh Assembly election. With the Assembly determining the Wales-wide budget for the creative industries, arts, culture and heritage this hustings gives those who are interested in these areas the opportunity to find out more about the cultural policies offered by the main political parties.

Representatives from all of the main Welsh political parties were invited to participate in this debate, which will be chaired by Menna Richards OBE.

The following speakers have confirmed attendance:

Ken Skates - Deputy Minister for Culture, Tourism & Sport – Welsh Labour
Suzy Davies - Shadow Welsh Culture Minister – Welsh Conservatives
Bethan Jenkins - Broadcasting, Sport, Culture and Heritage Spokesperson - Plaid Cymru-The Party of Wales
Amelia Womack - Deputy Leader – Green Party
Denis Campbell – Welsh Liberal Democrats
A Representative from UKIP
There will also be an opportunity for the Chair to field questions from the audience, and these will be collected in advance to ensure that a wide range and breadth of topics are covered.
