Event Description

... I know its a bit of a trek from Cardiff but if you happen to be in London in January...I would like to invite you to come and see this brilliant two-hander play at the Soho theatre 16th,17th,18th January @1pm. It lasts an hour and admission is by invitation only.

Aside from being a simply fantastic piece of writing, I am especially excited to be working together with Antony and  also my wonderful mother ( Brigit Forsyth)...

First produced by the Library Theatre Company, Manchester in 1987, it then transfered to London and was performed at Offstage Downstairs and also at the National with mum as Dr Kovacs and Paula Tilbrook as Effie. Nearly 25 years later I will now be playing Dr Kovacs and mum will be playing Effie..

'..Effie, who has lived in mental institutions since the age of thirteen, has been admitted to hospital with severe burns. Treating her is Dr Kovacs, who finds Effie's extraordinary story of injustice the key to her own suppressed anger and power.
- Taut and powerful, tender and funny,' Effie's Burning' is an emotional switchback of a play, with a searing anger at its heart..'
