Event Description

We would like to invite you to a networking event for Welsh-based community artists, applied drama and theatre practitioners, facilitators and directors, and others who draw on the techniques and values of drama, dance and performance to deliver opportunities within communities in Wales.

The event will be at Atrium Campus of the University of South Wales and is a joint event with Valley and Vale Community Arts.

Friday

18 October 2013

10am coffee for a 10:30 start

The day is design to respond to emerging trends in education policy that see creative practices like drama dance and performance at risk of disappearing from school curriculums, while public response suggests that communities want participatory creative opportunities.

This event is for you if you are involved in or support the delivery of programmes where theatre and drama are the principle artistic approaches, producing participatory or interactive theatre performances, facilitating drama processes for specific populations (from refugee to youth, older aged people to young dads etc), running short term or long term projects freelance or in association with a community agency or NGO.

Find a detailed flyer attached to make it easier to share with people that feel should know about this event or who would benefit from coming along.
