Synopsis

Martin Dysart is a psychiatrist who attempts to discover why young Alan Strang has mutilated six live horses. In probing Strang's psyche, Dysart discovers that the source of the boy's obsession is his mother, who has raised him with a convoluted set of values. But as he gets closer to the reason behind Strang's horrendous acts, Dysart discovers previously locked-away secrets within.

Recently revived in the West End and also part of a successful tour, Equus is a striking, absorbing and provocative masterpiece.
