This week Motherlode - run by myself, Emma Vickery and Nia Skyrme - open our new play Exodus at Chapter.
Set on the eve of a fashion warehouse closing, four neighbours build a plane, take off down the high street, past the butchers, past the curry house and above the chapel in search of a life free from politics and the grind. It's a tragic comedy about hope in a world of automation.
Feedback from audiences on tour so far: "funny as f**k" and "abundant joy and hopefulness" and "full of brutal reality".
Exodus is written and directed by me, Rachael Boulton, and we're thrilled it will be published by Oberon next week. Originally commissioned and co-produced with RCT Theatre's as a tribute to Aberdare's Coliseum theatre, Exodus is supported by Arts Council Wales, Creu Cymru, Night Out Wales, Bristol Old Vic and Chapter.
We would love to share the work with you and are offering NTW TEAM members discounted tickets for performances on Wednesday 17th at 7:30pm and Saturday 20th at 2pm. For a discount code email firstname.lastname@example.org with NTW TEAM as the title.
Here's some audience feedback from our tour so far...
Thanks for reading!
