An event that will open up the discussion about community participation in Arts and Heritage contexts.
The day will consist of keynote speakers from NTW, Our Museums Project and Brendan Jackson, freelance artist in intercultural dialogue. This will be followed by a debate on what is good practice and how we can address the parts which are "not always so great".
Open to freelance artists, practitioners in represeting individuals, museums and theatres and anyone interested in postcolonial issues and intercultural dialogue in the arts, community access and sustainability in arts engagement.
Some of the topics which may be discussed are:
During the second half of the day we invite submissions from each delegate to prepare a five minute provocation on a subject relating to our themes, again to open up this topic and gets some rousing peer debate happening.
