On 1st, 2nd and 3rd March 2013, De Gabay will be taking place on the streets and in the homes of Butetown. De Gabay is a theatre production that will look at the amazingly rich history of Somali poetry, the Somali community’s long relationship with Wales and its contribution to the Butetown/ Tiger Bay community.
On The Road To De Gabay will be an evening of poetry, performance and debate which will explore some of the themes of the show, and give the community an opportunity
to help shape it.
We will be rehearsing ideas exchange in the Old Natwest
bank on Bute street Tuesday 20th-Friday 23rd, 10am-6pm.
This is an opportunity for anyone to come and speak to the director and creative team of De Gabay and find out how you can get involved.
