Event Description
Conceived by Chris Grace ten years ago, born out of the S4C / BBC, Shakespeare – The Animated Tales, the Shakespeare School Festival started at the Torch Theatre, Milford Haven in Wales. This charitable festival has grown from humble beginnings to become the largest UK youth drama festival having provided 4,248 schools and 90,000 pupils with a professional platform on which to perform Shakespeare’s greatest works. It is fitting therefore to showcase Milford Haven School’s newly reworked performance of ‘Macbeth’ at the Edinburgh Festival. Vocally dynamic and visually compelling, it is a must see production for both children and adult lovers of Shakespeare.
