NINE is inspired by film noir, by the hopeless plight of the protagonist and the seductive allure of the femme fatale. You will meet Johnnie McCoy, a private detective with a guilty secret and more drinks in his belly than clients on his caseload. You can follow his journey from despair to destruction as he takes the one job that he knows will lead him into the underworld and the seedy gangster run nightclubs and to Lilleth the queen of cabaret, the untouchable moll.
NiNE uses film, physical theatre, music and comedy to pay homage to classic 50's film noir and the optimism of a generation. With a swinging jazz score and a 50's wardrobe NiNE brings you endless theatrical chain smoking and liquor swigging.
An interactive access all areas performance, watch and participate in the seduction, the torment and the torture of 6 essential characters all depicted by Mr and Mrs Clark as the audience become director, editor and observer unravelling the plot and uncovering the out takes, creating a unique performance experience.
