Event Description

A world that sucks time into itself, swelling and shrinking with feast and famine…

Oresteia – 1 Show, 3 Plays, 29 Actors.

Graduating students of the School of Performing Arts at the University of Wales, Trinity Saint David are presenting Oresteia by Aeschylus. The students are undertaking the irresistible challenge of performing and producing the only Greek trilogy to have survived in its entirety. This may be considered one of the most ambitious Performing Arts projects in Higher Education today.

Through film noir-inspired projection, the trilogy is being realised for a modern audience.

Oresteia is a unique opportunity for the students of BA Acting and BA Theatre Design and Production to immerse themselves in one of the toughest dramas in the repertoire. Opening on March 20th at the Halliwell Theatre.

The School promises to immerse you in the thrilling story of Oresteia and the consequences that follow upon the violence of the Trojan War.
