Event Description

The National Waterfront Museum and Projectpiece welcome everyone to meet former Haitian slave child, Jean-Robert Cadet, ba,ma, for a special "Black History Month" event, on Sunday 16th October, 2011, in Swansea. Jean is US Freedom hero, doctorate of humane letters and winner of the gloabl award for initiative and comittment from Bill Clinton, 2010.

Listen to Jean's powerful and provocative speeches here and enjoy the day as prestigious theatre, dance, orchestral music and song artists collaborate to raise awareness for the child "restavek" system in Haiti, where 300,000 children spend their lives as slaves, decreed by the United Nations.

Caring for some of the world's most vulnerable children and recognising the importance of global citizenship is a requisite for World Peace.  Together we can make the world a fairer place to live for everyone.

See you in Swansea, Sun 16th October at this "Free" event!
