This is a comprehensive training in the Theatre of the Oppressed techniques for working with internal oppressions. It is suitable for people who have some experience of Forum Theatre and who wish to develop their practice.

It is also useful for theatre directors and actors who want to learn a different approach to developing characters. (Originator of the techniques, Augusto Boal, trained the RSC to use them.) However it is important to note that the material explored will be of a personal nature, and volunteered by participants.

The training is by Iwan Brioc, Director of Theatr Cynefin and The Republic of the Imagination who has 20 years experience of TO and has been an international trainer in TO and Sensory Labyrinth Theatre for the last ten years.

The training is for artists and applied theater practitioners from Estonia, Portugal, Romania and Italy and there are 5 places for artists from UK. The cost is 100 euro + 30% of travel costs. This covers food, lodging, travel and training costs. The training will be subsidized by a Youth in Action European Youth Program grant so people who work with young people will be prioritized.

The training is also conditional on receiving the support of the Estonian Youth Agency...of which we are quietly confident.
