Time: June 4, 2010 from 1pm to 2pm
Location: Plasnewydd Community Hall, Shakespeare St, off City Road, Cardiff
Event Type: reading, literature, group, spoken, word
Organized By: Leona Jones
Latest Activity: May 25, 2010
Which novels have you stayed up all night reading? What plays would you travel miles to see? Which poems have lived with you for years? What song lyrics have accompanied your life? Or are your favourite words something else completely?
Don’t keep them on the shelf – let others hear them too!
1st Friday each month (next meeting 4th June 2010), 12.45 for 1.00 pm until 2.00 pm. Plasnewydd Community Hall, Shakespeare St, off City Road, Cardiff. £1 to cover room hire.
Bring a copy of the work you want to read (max 5 mins) – and your passion for hearing words out loud.
What it’s not! It’s not a reading group with a set text. It’s not an open mic for writers or performers to read their own work. It’s not about literary criticism or audience feedback. It’s not going to make your read out loud if you’d rather just listen.
It is a whole volume of fun!
It is the chance to meet other people who love to hear the written word out loud, and to read your favourite writers for other people to hear and love too.
Look forward to seeing you there.
