Following its award-winning debut at the Edinburgh Festival, Adrian has performed this one-man show all over the world to considerable critical acclaim.Drawing on Adrian’s own childhood in Swansea, his interpretation of Thomas’ poetry and prose has won international recognition and awards and has played to great acclaim in America. In this hour-long, solo performance, Metcalfe uses a wide range of works by the author including The Portrait of the Artist as a Young Dog, Quite Early One Morning, The Collected Poems and Return Journey, seamlessly entwined with Metcalfe’s own prose, and succeeds in creating a delightful, haunting exploration of the work of the great Dylan Thomas.
