Event Description

Theatre Current's production of “Seven Jewish Children” comes to Knighton as part of an evening of diverse entertainment including music and song from well-known folk artist, Sue Harris; poems from Gareth Owen, former presenter of Radio 4’s “Poetry Please”; and, to round off the event, a 2-hour ceilidh, with dancing to Bandamania. There will be a licensed bar.

This is the latest event in the company’s tour of the Marches with Caryl Churchill’s acclaimed and controversial play, written in response to Israel’s recent attack on Gaza. Since its first performance last February, it has been seen all around the world. This is a benefit evening for the charity, Medical Aid for Palestinians. Although entrance is free, the event is ticketed and donations will be requested on the night. Tickets may be available on the door but it is recommended that they be obtained beforehand from the Knighton Bookshop or can be reserved by phoning 01588 650780.
