A true to life story about a gang of wild girls living on the streets
A play by Jesper Wamsler, translated by Sarah Argent
Friday 18th February 7.30pm
“My name is Vic. A few years ago, I lived on the streets, with a flock of girls. I was fourteen years old. This is our story…”
Taliesin is pleased to present a powerful new drama by Wales based theatre company Theatr Iolo. The Flock, comes to Taliesin Arts Centre Swansea on Friday 18th February, 7.30pm.
The Flock is told from the perspective of two teenage girls, of a time when things went fatally wrong, for a gang of five wild girls. The Flock is an emotionally engaging, powerful narrative centred around the friendship between two girls who can no longer rely on the adult world, forced to make desperate choices using their own wits and resilience.
Theatr Iolo produces some of the best live theatre, making it widely accessible to children and young people, aiming to stir the imagination, inspire the heart, challenge young minds. They focus on performance which will enable young people to see the relevance of particular human experiences to their own lives and encourage discussion about tough issues, in a safe environment.
