Event Description

How would you feel if an outsider came to the village your family had lived in for generations and told you all to leave?

Inspired by true events, The Good Earth is the explosive story of a Welsh village, fighting to save their homes and mountain against outside forces, unravelled through fast physical theatre and folk song.

Devised by Fragments and directed by National Theatre Wales' emerging director Rachael Boulton, The Good Earth is a new piece of Welsh theatre co-produced by Wales Millennium Centre, in association with RCT Cultural Services. Supported by Arts Council Wales.

--------

Sut fyddech chi'n teimlo pe bai allanwr yn dod i'r pentref lle mae'ch teulu wedi byw ers cenedlaethau, ac yn gofyn i chi gyd adael?

Wedi'i hysbrydoli gan ddigwyddiadau go iawn a chyda theatr gorfforol gyflym a chaneuon gwerin, mae The Good Earth yn stori drydanol am bentref yng Nghymru sy'n brwydro i achub eu cartrefi a'r mynydd yn erbyn grymoedd allanol.

Mae The Good Earth yn ddarn newydd o theatr o Gymru sydd wedi'i greu gan Fragments a'i gyfarwyddo gan y cyfarwyddwr addawol o National Theatre Wales Rachael Boulton. Mae wedi'i gynhyrchu ar y cyd gan Ganolfan Mileniwm Cymru, ar y cyd â Gwasanaethau Diwylliannol RCT. Wedi'i gefnogi gan Gyngor Celfyddydau Cymru.

This looks great Rachael!  Wishing lots of broken legs to your cast.  What an exciting project.
